Bubbly monitors

Right so I think we did pretty darn good for the audition on Friday, considering the fact that I didn't get any practice with Andrew and all, and this was because the keys to the storeroom where the drums were kept had decided to disappear. We did two songs - The Ting Ting's shut up and let me go and burn baby burn by Ash. I vastly preferred doing the former simply because it had a nice catchy bassline, while burn baby burn required some rather fast picking, the art of which I haven't mastered since my bass makes much nicer sounds when fingered. Anyway I am glad to announce that all of those who auditioned got into PARTS, and therefore we shall be performing for the March intake orientation. I want to do Buckcherry's crazy bitch, but I have a feeling that won't be very appropriate...

Further Math has started two weeks ago and the stuff we're learning now isn't as hard as I thought it would be, but it is still shitloads harder than Pure Math, a fact proven when we averaged twenty minutes to answer one of them suicide-inducing questions. Mrs Loh says that she's doing the supposedly easier topics first, and I shudder to think what my poor brain's going to have to put up with when we come to the hard stuff. We're only doing two hours a week now, and I thought it would remain that way until our A2s, but i recently found out that when it comes to full swing we'd be doing eleven hours a week. Eleven sodding hours. That, my dear readers, is positively insane. As it is the two hours we have now is already making us work harder than camels in Pakistan, eleven hours would give us more reason to kill ourselves than that businessman who went bankrupt halfway through the recession, all because a bloke in Mexico wouldn't sell his house.

On another note, my internet connection has sped up. For now. Unfo
rtunately though my brand new 22.5-inch LCD conveniently decided to spring a leak, and now there's a black spot smack in the centre that's about the size of an orange. A very large orange, that is. And it's still growing bigger, you can even see tiny black bubbles at the edge.

It's a lot bigger now, and it's even got a halo!

Haven't seen bubbles like this before now have you?

Because of this weird phenomena I have been forced to hook up that old CRT monitor to the new PC as it'll take about one to two weeks two replace, and the result sure isn't pretty, but then I guess it's better than nothing. What I don't understand though is wh
y we can't just have fibre optic broadband, like they do in UK. Broadband there is so fast that you can stream an entire movie in a few minutes, and best of all you don't have to wait for Youtube videos to load. The half-wits that form most of our government can happily spend 21 million on a mosque that looks like a temple somewhere in Kedah, but this they can't do. But then again this is Malaysia and the only way we're going to get fibre optic broadband is when Badawi decides he wants to help himself to some high speed porn. Oh wait is this a bit too sensitive an issue? Am I going to get myself chucked into the Internal Security Act? Oooh I'm scared....

Anyway I've decided that I want the Fender, since the Ibanez is more of a metal guitar and that just won't do if I'm going to be playing blues on it. However, I again, as usual, have trouble deciding which colour I want and therefore need your help in choosing one. Here they are: wine red and sunburst respectively.

Hmm, wine red. Sunburst looks rather common, though it'd be more eye-catching onstage. =)
Oh, you can think of me as a random passerby, it's alright. Ahaha.

Ahah, I never thought of pickguards. =S But if you're serious about them, I guess you'll still be able to find a good one to go with the wine red.
You'll know, maybe one day soon, if I ever come up in conversation with a coursemate of yours. =]

Puhtooey. Lynnie, tht's wat u call her? Ahahhaha.
I used to learn electric guitar and picked up basic drumming from friends. Instrument-wise, I'm most well-versed with the piano. Typical, for a girl; I know. XD I used to dream of being a solid female drummer. Still think it'd be cool, though.
