Update

Hello there, I believe it has been a rather long time since I last updated, almost a month I think. Fret not, however, as I am now here to resurrect this temporarily abandoned mess. Yes I know that I would have been expected to post more often since SPM has long been over, but the reason for my not doing so is really quite simple. You see, once I got that dreaded exam over and done with, I had complete academic freedom. For about a month anyway. So of course I would very much rather do things that I had so wanted to do but couldn't for obvious reasons. The first thing I did after it was over, besides hang out with friends, was get a nice new gaming PC. A low budget one. Nevertheless it could still play the latest games at respectable frame rates, and therefore by using logic you would conclude that I was too busy gaming to update my blog. I bought a shitload of games but ended up playing only one: the allmighty Company of Heroes! It's a World War II based real time strategy(RTS) game and it is just incredibly awesome. Go on, buy an original copy, it's only 40 quid, and if you don't like it I highly recommend you jump off a bridge. And then of course I went for Outward Bound in late December, and then I was off to Korea. So you can clearly see that I was hardly at home, and what little time that I did have at home I wanted to spend with my PC.

It's amazing how quickly time passes: one moment you're rejoicing on the last day of SPM, the next you're on your way to college. I still feel that a month isn't nearly enough for anyone to enjoy their post-SPM freedom. It unfair, really, because for two years we work our asses off to try and pull off straight A1's in an exam held by a government hell bent on screwing your future if your skin isn't brown, and now we only get one sodding month off, after which we get intimidated beyond redemption by the thought of coping with things like further maths and exams that consist of six sodding papers. Of course I could always join the June intake, but by then I would've forgotten most of what I've learnt in my O-levels and this, believe me, would really make your A-levels a bitch if you're taking A-level Science. I therefore propose that the earliest intake for A-levels should be in February, thereby giving us a more reasonably time-out, but of course that's not going to happen anytime soon.

Anyway, I have chosen to go to KDU college, mostly because if I want to go to Taylors I need 11As to get a full scholarship, while KDU only requires ten. And having been in existence for over 25 years, I rightfully assumed that the lecturers here would be rather experienced. Of course this does not apply for ALL lecturers, as fact proven when I went for Econs today(no offence, really). The college itself isn't half bad, but being 25 years old it consist of a mixture of slightly dilapidated sections and nice new renovated ones. I particularly like the layout of the cafeteria, but most importantly it's got decent food. I like the computer lab that's big enough to hold a 100-player LANfest, but I don't like the way the air-conditioning is centralized because then I cant turn it down if it gets too cold.

They say college is the best part of your life, but I feel that this will be somewhat dampened by the fact that my mom has imposed a 11.30 curfew on me, and because of that I shall have to leave now.
