Apple iPod Video vs Creative Zen: Vision M

I dont know why so many ppl like the ipod so much, its not really that good if you really think about it. For me, the punchy sound that you cant get on any other player is the only thing that's great about it. Other than that it doesnt really make much sense, especially when compared with the Creative Zen: Vision M that i have. Think about it: if you're gonna put videos into an ipod, you need to convert everything into mp4 first, and conversion takes a looong time. To get videos into the Zen all you can just copy it straightaway as it supports all major formats: mpeg-1, mpeg-2, avi, wmv and mp4. The Zen can handle more music formats like mp3, wma and wav files while the ipod can only read mp3, AAC(Apple's proprietary format) and wav files. The Zen has a sharper, clearer and brighter screen compared to the ipod. Most important though is the sound quality of both players. The ipod has punchier sound but then the Zen has more clarity so in this aspect it boils down to personal preference. The Zen also has a custom equalizer where you can adjust all the frequency levels to your satisfaction but the ipod has mere presets.
As we can see here, the Creative is so much better, so why bother getting an ipod at all? Of course, looks is a completely different issue here, but then functions should always be placed before form. So ppl, the next time you wanna get a new music and video player, get a Creative: Zen Vision M and forget the ipod...xD
